Updated May, 2012 Our Mission The South Bay Archery Club was formed to foster, expand and perpetuate the practice of field archery, 3D Target Shooting, and bow hunting for individuals and families. See our upcoming shoots page for the latest shoot information. There is a work party scheduled for Saturday May 19th 9am to 1pm at the range. This is a perfect opportunity to help the club and save money on membership dues for next year.

We received our order of Hats, Shirts & Patches. Please come to our Wednesday meeting to purchase them. Location We are located in Rancho Palos Verdes, California on Palos Verdes Drive South near Portuguese Bend. Our range is officially approved with N.F.A.A. for field, hunter, youth, cub and animal. Our range is open for use by members during daylight hours. Membership Membership for the first year is $140 ($120 annual membership, $5 for a new key and $15 processing fee). Each year thereafter the annual fee is $120 (plus $5 for a new key) and is due on February 1st. If you work at least one work party per year, our annual membership decreases to only $72 per year. If you wish to have a hard copy of our newsletter mailed to you instead of e-mailed, please add $1 per month or $12 a year. We hold a club shoot on the 4th Sunday (NOT the last Sunday) of each month except December plus additional fun 3-d shoots throughout the year. Please click on the upcoming shoots tab. Membership is $125 ($120 plus a $5 key fee) or $140 if you're a brand new member (or delinquent). For membership renewal, please be sure to print out the 2 page form (link below), sign both pages and sent to us including your old key, check for the correct amount along with a self addressed stamped envelope. *Important* for family renewals, please be sure EACH member of the family signs a separate form. There is no extra charge for family membership (immediate family only). Members renewing after April 30 will be considered “new” members and subject to a $15 new member registration fee. Old keys will be effective only till the end of the February 26th shoot. Thank you. Member application, renewal & waiver: Make checks payable to SBAC. Send renewal payments to: New and delinquent members must bring a bow to either a meeting or shoot. If you join mid-year, you may pro-rate the monthly membership fee of either $10/month or $6/month with work parties. Leave no trace. NO Smoking! NO Fires! NO Firearms! NO Alcohol All members while on the range are to own and shoot archery equipment (wooden bows, recurve or compound bows). Neither crossbows nor the use of broadheads nor any firearms is permitted Entry onto the range by vehicle is restricted exclusively to archery and no other purpose whatsoever. Parking is only permitted in the parking lot near the practice area, not along the road. The range road is closed the day after a heavy rain. Members are responsible for their guests and children. All members will abide by the Club’s By-Laws and Constitution, and all local laws and rules as set forth by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, the Coastal Commission, and the City of Rancho Palos Verdes. Failure to comply may result with expulsion from the Club. Local flora and fauna are to remain unharmed. This includes but is not limited to rabbits and other rodents, lizards, hawks, owls, and pelicans. Parking for ARCHERY and Archery members ONLY! ALL others will be towed, vehicles must have sticker.
